VITAMIN- D CALCIDIOL – CALCITRIOL

  1. GENERAL BENEFITS OF VITAMIN D

prevent tooth decay

D

It slows the rate of alveolar bone loss by increasing the utilization of calcium in the tooth socket.

D

Treating psoriasis (psoriasis). (calcitriol is applied to the skin as an ointment)

D

Immune system booster. ( Vitamin D stimulates the activity of macrophages. It facilitates the production of monocytes. D3 form activates suppressed NK lymphocytes. )

D

It suppresses and helps to prevent Auto Immune disease Lupus Erythematosus.

D

It suppresses and helps prevent Auto Immune disease Polymyalgia Rheumatica.

D

Against breast cancer (Vitamin D3 helps treatment by stimulating apoptosis.)

D

against colon cancer

D

Against brain tumors (helps treatment by stimulating apoptosis in D3 and calcitriol type gliomas cancer.)

D

against kidney cancer

D

Against blood cancer (Vitamin D3 helps in preventing promyelocytic type of leukemia.)

D

Against liver cancer (Vitamin D3 prevents the rapid proliferation of liver cancer cells.)

D

Against skin cancer (Vitamin D3 prevents the rapid proliferation of melanoma cells.)

D

against ovarian cancer

D

Against prostate cancer ( The calcitriol type of vitamin D helps to prevent prostate cancer. Daily taken 3000 – 4000 IU vitamin D3 separates prostate cancer cells from normal cells. Vitamin D3 kills androgen-independent prostate cancer cells directly and delays the increase in prostate specific antigens.) Prostate The reason for the formation of cancer is the overproduction of prostate – specific antigen (PSA). ( More than 10 nanograms in 1 ml of blood ) Supplementation Vitamin D prevents this effect as it binds to PSA.

D

Against tuberculosis ( increases resistance against tuberculosis by stimulating the activity of macrophages.)

D

It is useful in curing Ankylosing spondylitis in the backbone. Ankylosing spondylitis: inflammation and arthritis in the joints in the lower back bones (vertebrae). Inflamed vertebrae harden, solidify and fuse with each other (anklylosis).

D

Against joint pain (arthralgia)

D

D

Supports the formation and regeneration of bones. (D3 form activates osteoblasts and increases osteocalcin production.) (D3 form of vitamin D increases the effectiveness of ipriflavone, which activates bone formation and cures osteoporosis.)

D

Against Osteomalacia, which is a calcium deficiency in the bones. ( It is mostly seen in postpartum and lactating women. Therefore, the bones become soft and warped. False fractures are seen in the hip bones. This is often a problem that occurs as a result of poor nutrition or the inability to absorb the vitamin taken from the intestines. ) The D2 form of vitamin D is 5000 – 50 000 UI per day. (125 – 1250 mcg ) is recommended.

D

Against Rickets disease. (Especially in infants, vitamin D deficiency and bone disease caused by calcium, phosphorus deficiency or imbalance, causing deformity.) 5000 – 50 000 UI (125 – 1250 mcg ) daily of vitamin D D2 form is recommended.

D

Against osteoporosis. (Osteoporosis) Osteoporosis is a disorder characterized by the reduction of bones due to pain and calcium loss that often causes stature. (especially seen in postmenopausal women) Since vitamin D is converted to its active form in the liver and kidney, people with these organs are at risk for osteoporosis.

D

Against rheumatoid arthritis. (Rheumatoid arteritis )

D

Against vascular occlusion. (Atherosclerosis). Especially in osteoporosis, calcium coming from the bones, which are thinned by melting, accumulates in the vessels and forms plaques.

D

Improving hearing properties against deafness. (Vitamin D deficiency can cause calcium loss in the ear bones, resulting in hearing loss.) Otosclerosis: It is a disease that causes ankylosis of the base of the stapes and conductive hearing loss. When daily 500 – 1000 IU
vitamin D supplements are combined with calcium supplements, there is a serious improvement in hearing.

D

Against diabetes. Daily intake of 2000 IU of vitamin D in childhood helps to prevent diabetes mellitus – 1 disease in later ages.

D

against fatigue

D

Against hypoparathyroidism. (Hypothyroidism occurs in tyrosine deficiency.) Vitamin D regulates the Tyrosine Hydroxylase enzyme after it is converted to calcitriol.

D (50,000 – 200,000 IU=1,250 – 5,000 mcg daily)

Helps prevent insulin resistance (Vitamin D is necessary for insulin production)

D

Against obesity. (Vitamin D helps prevent obesity by preventing leptin secretion of adipose tissue.) Obesity reduces the production of vitamin D. As a result, vitamin D deficiency increases.
